Blakity Black was created to celebrate, connect, and support Black-owned businesses and the communities that help them thrive. Our goal is to provide a welcoming, respectful, and trustworthy space where entrepreneurs and supporters can network, collaborate, and discover businesses across the country.

By using Blakity Black, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines.

Our Community Values

We encourage every member to:

• Support Black-owned businesses with respect and integrity.

• Communicate professionally and courteously.

• Share helpful information and resources.

• Build meaningful business relationships.

• Celebrate diversity within the Black community.

• Help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
   

Be Respectful

Treat all members with dignity and respect.

Do not:

• Harass or intimidate others.

• Bully or threaten members.

• Use hateful, discriminatory, or abusive language.

• Engage in personal attacks or name-calling.

• Encourage violence or illegal activity.
   

Healthy discussions and respectful disagreements are welcome, but personal attacks are not.

Honest Business Information

Business listings should accurately represent your business.

Do not:

• Impersonate another person or business.

• Use misleading business names.

• Upload stolen logos or photographs.

• Provide false contact information.

• Misrepresent your products or services.
   

Providing false information may result in the removal of your listing and suspension of your account.

Keep Discussions Professional

Our community features are designed for networking and collaboration.

Members are encouraged to:

• Ask business-related questions.

• Share resources and opportunities.

• Offer encouragement and constructive advice.

• Promote business events and achievements.

• Build partnerships with other entrepreneurs.
   

Please avoid posting content that is unrelated to the purpose of the community.

No Spam

Do not:

• Repeatedly post the same content.

• Flood discussions with advertisements.

• Send unsolicited promotional messages.

• Post misleading links.

• Create multiple accounts to increase visibility.
   

Reasonable promotion of your own Black-owned business within appropriate community spaces is welcome.

Respect Intellectual Property

Only upload content that you own or have permission to use.

This includes:

• Photos

• Logos

• Videos

• Artwork

• Written content
   

Do not copy another business's branding or marketing materials without permission.

Protect Privacy

Help keep our community safe by respecting everyone's privacy.

Do not share another person's:

• Home address

• Personal phone number

• Email address

• Financial information

• Identification documents

• Private conversations

without their permission.

Reporting Concerns

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it through our Contact page or any reporting tools available on the platform.

Our team reviews reports carefully and strives to take appropriate action as quickly as possible.

Moderation

To protect our community, Blakity Black may:

• Remove posts or comments that violate these guidelines.

• Remove business listings that contain false or misleading information.

• Request corrections to submitted content.

• Temporarily suspend accounts.

• Permanently remove repeat offenders or accounts involved in serious violations.
   

Moderation decisions are made to maintain a safe, respectful, and trustworthy environment for all users.

Fraud and Misrepresentation

Blakity Black is committed to maintaining the integrity of our directory.

Attempting to deceive the community by:

• Falsely claiming Black ownership,

• Using another person's identity,

• Submitting fraudulent verification materials,

• Creating fake businesses, or

• Misrepresenting products or services

may result in immediate removal from the platform and, when appropriate, referral to law enforcement authorities.
